About the gin
From our rural boutique distillery in the heart of the Cotswolds we craft our own base from British grown sugar beet through three distillation processes in small batches of 70 bottles.
Hair of the Wolf Gin draws inspiration from Michael Morpurgo's novel, set around wartime Britain and so we used botanicals that would have been easily found in the English countryside such as mint, raspberries and bay leaves. The result is a subtly balanced hedgerow gin that matches perfectly with a plain tonic, leaving the gin to do all the talking.
About the play
World War II brought about an avalanche of tragedy, heartbreak and division, but what happens when that division is within your own family? Brothers, Francis and Pieter are in disagreement. Living in turbulent times as one bloody war has ended and another stirs in the near future, tensions are high and they can both feel it.
Francis is a dedicated pacifist, committed to peace and determined not to go backwards to a violent world. Pieter believes that peace can only be achieved by signing up to fight. The event that occurs after this is one that will change Francis’ life forever. In the Mouth of the Wolf is based on the heart wrenching true story of Sir Michael Morpurgo’s uncles and stunningly adapted by Simon Reade (adaptation of Private Peaceful) with sensitivity and theatrical flair.

Moscow Mule
- 60ml Blue Duck Rare Vodka
- Fever-Tree Ginger Beer
- Lime wedges
Method: Add vodka to an ice-filled copper mug, top with ginger beer and squeeze two lime wedges in. Garnish with a mint prig. Enjoy!
Dry Martini
- 60ml Black Robin Rare Gin
- 5ml Dry Vermouth
- Olive
Method: Fill a martiniglass with ice, pour in the dry vermouth and stir. Pour the Black Robin Rare Gin into an ice-filled mixing glass and stir well. Discard the martini glass contents and pour in the gin. Garnish with a single olive. Enjoy.
